Panettone with Walnuts and Dried Fruits Recipe

Ingredients

1½ tsp yeast
400g strong white flour
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
½ tsp mixed spice or pumpkin spice
50g cold butter cut into cubes
2 medium eggs beaten
200ml milk
On the beep add
70g cold butter cut into cubes from the fridge
100g mix dried fruits
50g maple toasted walnuts

Steps

Put ingredients in the bread pan in the order listed. Put the yeast in the yeast dispenser if you have one.

Set the breadmaker to the brioche program, light crust.

Toast the walnuts in a pan with a drizzle of maple syrup until they start to colour. Allow to cool to add on the beep later.

Add the extra butter, mixed fruit and walnuts when the bread bakery beeps. Do not put them in the raisin and nut dispenser.
