These Fig and Almond Power Bars are a delicious and nutrient-packed snack which can be enjoyed when on the go. Providing us with a boost of energy for those busy days and a perfect option to fuel our workouts. These family-friendly bars are full of nourishing ingredients. Did you know that dried figs and almonds are a plant-based source of calcium and iron? Calcium is essential within the diet for healthy teeth and bones, whilst iron plays a role in supporting immunity and fighting fatigue. These bars are fibre-rich thanks to the mixed seeds whilst also providing a protein boost.

20ml hot water |
Steps

Blitz half of the oats in a food processor. Roughly chop the dried figs into small chunks. |

In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients with 20ml hot water (pour in slowly as you may not need all of this). |

Line a baking tray with baking paper, and with a palette knife spread over the mix evenly. Place in the Panasonic Combi Oven and cook at 160°C for 50 minutes (check on bars a few times to ensure they do not burn). |

Once baked, leave to cool on a wire rack and then cut into bars. |
