Directions

Quick 15 minutes steamed egg casserole recipe. Try out two different versions – smoked salmon egg casserole or green asparagus and goat cheese egg casserole.

Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
FOR THE SMOKED SALMON VERSION
4 eggs
4 tbsp sour cream
2 slices of smoked salmon
a few sprigs of chives
salt
pepper
FOR THE ASPARAGUS AND CROTTIN GOAT CHEESE VERSION
4 eggs
4 tbsp sour cream
8 green asparagus spears
1 soft goat cheese e.g. crottin de chavignol
a few sprigs of chervil
salt
pepper

Steps

Crack an egg into each ramekin and add a tablespoon of crème fraîche.

For the smoked salmon version:
Cut the salmon slices into strips and spread them over the eggs. Chop the chives and sprinkle it over the salmon. Season with salt and pepper.

For the asparagus and goat cheese version:
Prepare the asparagus by cutting off the heads and adding them into the ramekin oven dishes. Cut the tails into thin slices and add them in as well. Cut the goat cheese into small pieces and spread them over. Add the chervil leaves. Season with salt and pepper.

Place the ramekins onto the baking tray and place it into your Panasonic Combi Steam Oven. Fill the water tank with water and select the Steam 1 setting and 11 minutes. Serve immediately with a little bread.
