Directions

The all-time classic white bread recipe for your Panasonic breadmaker!
Tip for beginners: Perfect bread recipe to start with when you are using your breadmaker for the first time.

If you want to experiment and add some special ingredients you like, you can try to use this recipe as your basic recipe and add e.g. some seeds, nuts or raisins (Loaf size M: max 80g, L: max 100g, XL: max 120g). Use then Menu 3 (Basic Raisin) instead and add the extra ingredients into the raisin/nut dispenser if your breadmaker has one, otherwise just add them into the bread pan.

Ingredients

Bread Size:
1 tsp dry yeast
500g strong white bread flour
30g butter
1 1/2 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
340ml water

Steps

1

Take the bread pan with the kneading blade out of the breadmaker.
If your breadmaker has a yeast dispenser (SD-YR2550, SD-YR2540), add the yeast there.
If your breadmaker has no yeast dispenser, add the yeast into your bread pan first.
Then add all remaining ingredients (top-to-bottom order) into your bread pan.

2

Place the bread pan back into your Panasonic breadmaker SD-YR2550, SD-YR2540, SD-R2530 or SD-B2510, close the lid, select menu 1, the bread size and preferred browning level and press start.
(Optional: If you want your bread to be ready later or even the next day, set up the timer (up to 13h)).

3

When your bread is done, take it out and let it cool down.

Enjoy
