For the Meat Sauce:
1 onion chopped
1 clove of garlic crushed
1 carrot
1 stick of celery
1 tbsp (5ml) oil
500g tomato sauce
150ml red wine
2 tbsp (30ml) tomato paste concentrated
1 tbsp mixed fresh herbs rosemary, laurel
400g minced beef
40g bacon slices
60g italian salsiccia sausage chopped
salt to taste
1/2 tsp chili pepper
For the lasagne:
100ml bechamel
salt and pepper to taste
250g fresh lasagne sheets
150g parmesan grated

Add oil, chopped onion, garlic and fresh herbs into a pan and cook them on a stove. Once they are hot, add the meat and blend with the wine. Once the liquid evaporated, add the tomato sauce, tomato paste and chopped vegetables. Season with some salt and the chilli pepper and cook all on the stove for about 1 hour and a half.

Cover the base of a large Pyrex® with a layer of bechamel sauce; then add a layer of fresh lasagne sheets and a layer of hot meat mixture. Continue with a layer of lasagne sheets, then meat, ending with a layer of bechamel sauce. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top.

If necessary, season with some salt and pepper and place the dish on the base of the oven. Select COMBI 1 program and cook for 10 minutes; then GRILL 1 for 5-10 minutes or until it’s golden brown.
(Note: if you are using dry lasagne sheets, the cooking time might be slightly longer)
